---Bristoe Station Campaign: Meade continues moving north, having a better
sense of where Lee’s troops are. Troops
from the III Corps fight a heavy skirmish with Southern cavalry at Auburn,
although the fight leaves Gen. Stuart and two brigades of his gray cavalry are
caught between two moving columns of Yankee infantry. Both armies continue to move north.
